EP.2 – Certainly, all the experts talk about the world of tomorrow. , who knows when we can take the plane and travel with family, with our friends or as a couple. In a few weeks in September, end of 2020, maybe 2021… Difficult to give details, but one thing is certain, our dreams have no restrictions. Here’s a series of articles that answers this simple question: what will be my next trip? here is my answer. Feel free to comment by giving me your next destination.
In October, why not take a break in Amsterdam? the mild climate is ideal for walking around Zeeheldenbuurt near the old harbor.Golden Age canals lined with gabled houses, candlelit cafes, whirling bicycles, lush parks, monumental museums, colorful markets, diverse restaurants, quirky boutiques and legendary nightlife make the Dutch capital free-spirited one of the largest cities in Europe. With so much to offer, it can be hard to know where to start but first and foremost, go there!
AMALFI COAST, ITALY
I’m stopping at Naples for a slice of pizza on the road to the Amalfi Coast – somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. I’m hoping there will be enough sunshine in October to enjoy lunches on the beach at Da Adolfo and cocktails beneath the lemon trees at Hotel Santa Caterina.
Too far you’ll tell me, this is the perfect time for a breakaway in Brazil. Rio first, to play tennis at the top of Copacabana Palace and face the jet lag, followed by a guided tour in the gastronomic lanes and a day in the exotic forests of the Serra dos Orgãos National Park. We’ll tap into the artisanal rhythms of Paraty, a whitewashed colony, before learning to surf at Pousada Picinguaba, a charming hideaway in a sleepy fishing village. Then there are the mountains of Serra do Mar, where we jump on horseback in the beautiful area of Fazenda Catuçaba. Our last days will be devoted to São Paulo, to dive into the lively artistic and creative scene of the city, then into piano bars and jazz clubs, so it’s still too far for you?
Copenhagen for a long weekend at the end of October. The idea is pleasant. This city is super cool plus several reasons because the city is home to Michelin-starred Noma, one of the most famous restaurants in the world, is renowned for its fine dining scene. Denmark has long had a strong association with jazz and many of the greats have not only performed there but lived there as well, especially during the ’50s and ’60s where the racial atmosphere was more relaxed than in the United States. mais aussi la mode et le design danois, la culture et la cuisine nordique sont de bonnes incitations à se rendre au Danemark.
I end with the idea of the crazy pluys but probably the one that will make you dream … Imagine: hibiscus flowers; bronzed dancers in grass skirts; a humid breeze over turquoise sea. Imagine a haunting and tranquil lagoon, or a night sky filled with South Pacific stars. Perhaps a silhouette of volcanic peaks dramatically lit by a mandarin sunset, or a lunch of raw fish under the palm trees on a trail of Polynesian melodies. Yes, it’s really the dream.
