Living Vehicle has downsized its upscale travel trailer to craft a true home on wheels.
Introducing the Living Vehicle HD24, a remarkable compact camping marvel that features a well-appointed trailer boasting a roomy interior, comprehensive solar power capabilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.
We’ve been long-time admirers of Living Vehicle and its innovative approach to the conventional travel trailer. Hailing from California, this company seamlessly marries the needs of digital nomads with the allure of high-end van life, fashioning off-grid trailers that double as fully-equipped remote creative studios.
The latest addition to their lineup is the HD24 model, brought to life by the visionary team led by Matthew and Joanna Hofmann in 2017. True to its name, the new trailer measures 24 feet in length, a bit smaller than the flagship HD30’s 30 feet. Nevertheless, this reduction hasn’t compromised the company’s expertise in maximizing space.
Much like its predecessor, the HD24 takes full advantage of an expansive folding rooftop solar array (also serving as a canopy) and a battery system to provide a fully electric solution for heating, hot water, ventilation, and cooking. It even includes an onboard water filtration system.
Serving as a compact, self-contained, high-tech, and mobile version of a tiny house, the HD24 stands unrivaled. You have various floorplan configurations to choose from, ranging from the Creative Studio in the HD30 to a ‘King Bedroom Suite.’ The ceiling houses a drop-down double bed, while the banquette below converts into an additional twin bed. If desired, you can opt for a bunk room instead of a study for extra sleeping space.
Matthew Hofmann describes the accommodations as akin to ‘experiencing a high-end yacht, tailored for land-based expeditions and journeys.’ They’ve maximized every conceivable storage opportunity, and the HD24’s silvery exterior is adorned with hatches and windows. Living Vehicle’s signature fold-down balcony remains, transforming any campsite into a room with a view.
