Xiaomi has proudly introduced its inaugural electric vehicle, the “SU7,” showcasing opulence in both the dual-motor all-wheel-drive SU7 Max and the single-motor rear-wheel-drive SU7. This sedan-style automobile boasts the exclusive Modena Architecture, housing remarkable 21,000 rpm HyperEngine electric motors.
In the realm of endurance, the SU7 Max boasts an impressive range of up to 497 miles and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.78 seconds, owing to its 101kWh 800V high-voltage platform, outshining both the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan Turbo.
Beyond its generously proportioned interior, noteworthy features include the aesthetically pleasing “water droplet” headlamps, a 360 LED halo rear brake light, discreet half-hidden door handles, and a HyperOS in-car entertainment system fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295 processor. This entertainment system is complemented by a 16.1-inch 3K central screen, optional Xiaomi Pad tablets, and an immersive audio experience through 23 internal Dolby Atmos speakers. Regarding autonomous driving capabilities, the Xiaomi Pilot platform is energized by up to two NVIDIA Drive Orin processors and an array of advanced sensors.
In the creation of the SU7, Xiaomi enlisted the talents of Tianyuan Li, formerly associated with BMW‘s iX series and iVision concepts, alongside James Qiu from Mercedes-Benz‘s Vision EQXX design; BMW veteran Chris Bangle contributed as a design consultant.
